Spiral Duct Access Panel
Spiral duct access panels offer a durable and cost-effective solution for quick access to smoke, fire, and volume control dampers or other components within the circular spiral ductwork. The design ensures easy installation and removal while providing a secure seal to prevent air leakage, maintaining the efficiency of the duct system.
Description
Panels: The spiral duct access panel consists of three layers of precision stamped galvanized steel. The inside panel consists of two layers of metal which are spot welded together.
Insulation option: Standard access panel is non-insulated. Insulation is recommended for negative pressure applications. The insulation material is installed within the inside panel (high density fiberglass insulation with Ecose® Technology UL classified FHC25/50 and R-value of 2.1)
Gasket: A closed cell gasket is bonded to the inside panel to insure the access panel is sealed to the duct properly.(6mm closed cell polyethylene, Cellular sponge EPDM, neoprene gasket is UL94HF1 listed with a service temperature range of (ASTM D746) -20° F to 200° F.)
Springs: Zinc plated or stainless steel conical springs are installed for easy opening.
Knobs: High impact polypropylene molded knobs have threaded metal inserts to avoid stripping and allow toolless operation. (UL94HB listed)
Bolts: Zinc plated carriage bolts are secured to stop the access door from being completely disassembled.
