Oval Duct Access Panel
Oval duct access panels offer a durable and cost-effective solution for quick access to smoke, fire, and volume control dampers or other components within the rectangular or square ductwork. The design ensures easy installation and removal with mounting holes on both flanges of frame while providing a secure seal to prevent air leakage.(Air leakage tested to HVAC DW/142 specifications for sheet metal ductwork)
Description
Panels: The oval duct access panel is fabricated from 24 gauge galvanized steel. The frame is die-formed and seamless and the door is two die-formed in a sandwich construction.
Insulation option: Standard access panel is non-insulated. Insulation is recommended for negative pressure applications. The insulation material is installed within the inside panel (high density fiberglass insulation with Ecose® Technology UL classified FHC25/50 and R-value of 2.1)
Gasket: One-piece extruded bulb-type integral gasket is bonded to the inside panel to insure the access panel is sealed to the duct properly.(6mm closed cell polyethylene, Cellular sponge EPDM, neoprene gasket is UL94HF1 listed with a service temperature range of (ASTM D746) -20° F to 200° F.)
Latch: Self-tightening, hand-operated positive cam latch to ensure an airtight seal. (Zinc-plated).
Mounting: Both flanges of frame is prepunched with 3/16″ mounting holes for fastening.
Safety Chain Option: Optional factory-fitted safety retaining chain made of welded oval link, bright zinc-plated mild steel, securely attached to both the door panel and sub-frame.
Handle Option: Stainless steel handle (304 grade) can be added to the door for improved grip and convenience during opening and closing.
